No, it's not sniffing delicious-smelling people.
I like to call that an occasional hobby.
No. That's not it.
See, I don't really cook.
I make the occasional banana bread, cookies,
muffins, birthday cake...
but I like to stay out of the kitchen as much as possible.
However.
I'm completely hooked on reading cooking blogs.
Especially baking and dessert blogs.
It's bad.
It's been really bad since mid-December.
Because all I want now is a Kitchen Aid stand mixer
and an ice-cream maker.
You now know what I desire this Christmas.
Save up your money.
Haha!
I'll never be a foodie, but I love reading their blogs.
As Craig Ferguson once said on the Late Late Show:
"Foodies are like Trekkies, only fatter!"

Trekkies are fatter! I pride myself on my girlish figure.
And you need a kitchen aid. It will change your life.
hahahaha! Cute!!
Hope you get your kitchen aid and/or ice cream maker.
My sister is a foodie (prolly one of the few skinny foodies. So unfair) but she only posts about food once a week. Her link is on my blog. it's "the secret life of b's."
you read bakerella's blog? she does these cake pops that are amazing and versatile. my mom loves cooking blogs too.
also, you watch craigyferg? BIG SMILE. lady, we NEED to be real life friends. so many common denominators here.
also also, yes that post was about a guy. good job, english major. lol
me too! except i never read the dessert ones because i never make dessert. i'm not good at following directions and desserts have to be so precise. lame. i also "read" cookbooks, and when i say "read" i mean look at pictures and names of recipes and then make up my own version based on my very limited information. they turn out great, but can never be duplicated, which i actually kind of love :)

If I got peanut butter and jelly to France, surely I can get a Kitchen Aid to Utah. Color?
I have a very long record of putting kitchens on fire while trying to cook. So it's not a surprise I am no longer allowed to make food at home/at my moms/at my friends/at my ex's parents place.
But bake on the other hand - I lvoe it! And nothing has caught fire yet.
I think I love it cause I see baking as delicious mathematics. And I love math. I'm weird, I know.
I can relate. I have a dessert cookbook I like to browse though, but I've never used.
I don't like to cook, either. In fact, I'm known for my aversion to all cooking tasks more complex than pouring cereal or making a sandwich. Sudden, random and ill-fated announcements that I'm going to bake are met with ghastly cries of, "Oh, the horror!" I'm not sure I even know what a stand mixer is...
Oh, and I'm sure you've seen the movie "Julie & Julia"? :)
Not sure if you've read this blog before, but Anthony Sunday Soup http://anthonysundaysoup.blogspot.com/ is a wonderful blog about...what else? Soups! Very yummy :D
i love baking blogs :) i don't cook but i love baking treats. although its been quite some time since i was in the kitchen. i got a red kitchen aid at one of my bridal showers (my parents have some generous people in their ward), and i love it. i'd rather have a bosch though.
I want to know which ones you read!!
share the wealth woman!
