Yesterday, I made a really smart comment in my lit class. Well.
At least for me, it was smart.
What happened afterwards was SO NOT SMART AT ALL.
After lit, I went to sewing class where I cut out an apron out of denim. And I turned my fingers all blue. So after class, I headed to the bathroom to wash my hands, and I ran into my lit professor coming out of the men's room. He smiled at me, and said, "Great comment today in class."
You know how confusing it is to see teachers outside of the classroom context? Well, for whatever reason, my brain decided to STOP because it couldn't handle the idea of a professor having bodily functions to take care of. Plus also, I am secretly terrified of him and his greatness. I'm also afraid that he will find out I am a member of his fan club on Facebook.
So I just stared at him.
And went,
"Uh-huh. Thanks?"
And stood there.
Confused.
And staring.
Poor Professor M. just looked at me funny and apologized, "Sorry, I didn't mean to stop you."
To which I brilliantly replied,
"I have blue hands."
Then I stared at my blue hands, looked back up,
saw him still looking funny at me,
and ran like a panicked third-grader into the ladies' room.

hahahahahahahahahaha
this literally made me LOL
probably because I can picture the entire thing and something VERY similar just happened with me and that professor's wife...seeing a professor outside of class is just like seeing a dog walking on his hind legs
This made me giggle. I've so been on a little cloud before after a good discussion. Fortunately, I've never run into the professor after that.
You just gave me the idea to blog about the time I ran into my art professor at the college's gym where she was buck naked staring at herself in the mirror!
Anyway, I'm Jen. I'm Mormon. I'm a blogger. I'm a girl. And, I'm a college student. We should be friends! If you come and check out my blog, know that I'm much more racey there than face to face!
Love your blog!
HAHA! That is the best.Poor "Professor M." He has to have more awkward moments with students than anyone. Like the time I gave him applesauce...
HAHAHA Thats so great!!! Sounds like you. I'm sad I didn't know you had a blog either! I'm excited to read it. We definitely need to do some skating and catch up fun times!
I miss you! I'm trying to contain my laughter at work right now. And then I thought of your ideal studnet text (sorry, I suck at texting back) and thought "I want to hear that story too." Anyhow, thanks for sharing. You made my day.
I just looked at your facebook to figure out who the professor was. Now I'm laughing even harder. Mostly because I understand so much more now. The end.
cool page im just randomly going through blogs on blogspot :] check mine out too www.stayforeverfresh.blogspot.com
okay now THAT just made my day! except, i'm hoping that it makes my tomorrow, because today is pretty much done, and I would love to enjoy tomorrow. :) thanks?
Oh man I know exactly what you mean about him!!!!! terrifying because of his brilliance! The other day when he made the comment about the suit in class and jeans and sneakers in the grocery store... it took me 6 full minutes to wrap my head around a plan of attack - or escape if I ever see him in the grocery store. He has a fan page?!!?!?!? Do share the address...
lol! i do stuff like this all the time! did you also think of a clever response, like three hours later?
