When Confronted with a Supper...

of cheesy broccoli soup, seven-layer bean dip, and cream-cheese swirled pumpkin bread, don't be alarmed by the oddly mismatched items...

Instead...

"Think of this meal as an interracial marriage: You wouldn't expect it at first, and sometimes people look upon the union with suspicion and disapproval, but... then it all comes together and makes beautiful babies."

This wholly spontaneous, no offense intended, totally original Chessie quote is brought to you by a weekend of watching Tangled, The King's Speech, and reading Cormac McCarthy's The Road.

Cream cheese swirled pumpkin bread = nirvana in a loaf! Salivating. Happy 400th!

If this was supposed to be a last supper of some kind, I'd be a little concerned. Although cream cheese swirled anything is delicious! I highly suggest cream cheese swirled brownies if you've never had them. I imagine they must be served in heaven.

Happy 400th! I'm about 1/3 of the way there, haha.

LOVE the quote. Reminds me of a dinner I made once --- stuffed peppers, homemade french fries and marinated cucumbers... it was beautiful.

Yay! congrats on the 400th post! That is too cool.

Love your quote too. So true. My mom wants one of her kids to marry a hispanic so she can have "brown" grandbabies. (My dad is branch president of a Spanish branch and she is R.S. president. They both speak Spanish and LOVE their sweet ward members!)

Side note on funny food combos... well, sort of: I had a ham sandwich for breakfast. Does that count?
