In Less than 3 Weeks...

I will be back in my beloved Logan
(to finish my last semester of school--say what?!).

Are you excited?! I'm excited.

You should be excited because that means I will have a schedule again. I will eat better. I will have friends again. And that means I will have a life again. I will have my fun job again. I will have my nights and weekends back. I will be able to go to the gym. Do you know what that means? THAT means way more exciting posts for you. Yay for you!

I don't know what it is about living at home that sucks the life out of me, but I look back at what I've written this summer, and I feel sorry for you. And embarrassed. I can't believe how boring I am. Seriously, I'm a dismal human being during the summer. I'm grouchy and mean, and I worry about money all the time. Sorry. It's because I've had to live without Glee. It would make anyone a monster. It's coming back in September. I'm already planning a party. Except.... I don't know if we'll have TV at our house. Hmmm.... that could be a problem.

However, after a nice long run tomorrow, in which I plan to burn off every cookie I ate this weekend, I'm going to try to make something apricot-ty!! The kids picked heaps of fresh apricots the other day, so they're begging me to bake them into a pastry of some sort. The apricots, not the kids. They couldn't care less what I do or don't do. Haha! I invite you all over to eat them with me, because you have been so sweet with the whole mean old man fiasco! If something like that happens again, I definitely will not stand there like a droopy soft-serve ice-cream cone. I shall be all fangs and no nonsense! (Cos Asian vampires are the most vicious of ALL the vampires!)

On an unrelated note, I need to change my running playlist. I'm terribly bored with it. Why don't you help me out? What's your favorite song to work out to? Maybe the one you like to dance to the best? I need something with a strong steady beat.

Shoot me a comment,
leave me your favorite song (and the artist)
and the most embarrassing dance move
that you happen to be really good at!

I happen to be really good at something Megs and I choreographed a couple years ago, called 'The Plunger Dance'. *cough*

Note: Also, this is post number 333! I think that should mean something. But... not quite sure what... what do you think?

Haha; I love your comment about Asian vampires; that was from Glee, was it not? ;)

And you're not the only one who feels she doesn't have enough material for exciting blog posts. My little blog has been a bore as well (not to say that yours is boring, because its NOT!), and I'm just grateful you guys have been standing by me, too!

Hmm..dance songs....I'd have to say "We are Golden" by Mika, and as for my most embarrassing dance move, it would be attempting to pull of the choreography from his music video one weekend when my old roommate was away...I was only wearing a bra and undies! :x

Jeez Em. How can I make an, I'm pretending I didn't just read that face, with the keyboard?

Three weeks! Last semester!? How cool is that? Please, please, let that old fart come back and harass you with only a couple of days left at work that you don't really care that much about anyway. Dancing Asian Vampires is all I'm sayin'. Some Red Hoodied Gazel maybe.

I run quiet, so no help here.

Maybe whack A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation (album) by The Wombats on your player. It's a fun album (despite the name). Let's Dance to Joy Division is an awesome song!

Oh yes Chess, you've been soooooo boring, shame on you!
:))

Ehm... I don't work out... shame on me... so no songs...

333 is just the predecessor (is that an existing word?) of 666... Satan's number...
Be ware!

My favorite songs to run to... hmmm. Mostly just the ones that I'm not sick of! ha ha ha.
Okay, here's some:
Major Tom by Shiny Toy Guns. I pretend I'm getting a running start before leaping into the air to start flying. The visualization of flying helps me keep running.

Arrival to Earth from the Transformers soundtrack. Yeah, the flying thing again. Plus the song is extremely beautiful and motivating.

There was this one time I went running in the rain (remember, I live in AZ. Warm rain). It was AWESOME! and for the cooldown stretch, a song called Gates of Dawn by Secret Garden came on my ipod. It's not a running song, but it's a good cooldown song and with the rain falling (ipod tucked safely away from the rain between clothing) I couldn't help myself. Instead of walking, I danced. Yep. didn't care what the neighbors saw. i danced and splashed in puddles and frolicked until I got home. It was totally awesome.

Oh, and the karaoke version of Poker Face by Lady Gaga.
I haven't actually gone running to it but it's AWESOME! Why the karaoke version? It has all the cool stuff and none of the annoying stuff. Check it out.

Oh, and the asian vampire thing was hilarious.

Most of the stuff from Chris Cornell's "Scream" album, but "Get Up" has a really "pump it up" type beat. ;)

GREAT 80's tune that I enjoy for exercise: "Let's Hear it for the Boy". Don't ask me why. I just LOVE that song!

I also return to school in less than 3 weeks!! A new school!!! And I am just as excited.

Glee makes everything better, no lie. I hope someone on my floor loves Glee so I can watch it with them. Asian vampires FTW, that episode was hilarious.

Okay, this is definitely my nerd side showing, but I'm pretty sure they have a few DDR albums on iTunes. They are SUPER for workouts with their dance/techno beats. I keep a couple different workout playlists so I don't get bored, and then I shuffle them after a few months for variety. I could give you a very long list haha.

And I admit to doing the Chris Brown "Forever" wedding dance in a contest. It won second place (along with a BA version of "Jai Ho")! It's even on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqmqKlpSc8c

I also like to run to 80s music. My favorite is "Dancing With Myself" by Billy Idol. I also have loved running to anything by INXS.

Darn it... I have the perfect running song for you, but the lyrics are in swedish and well... It ruins half of the song if you don't understand the lyrics. It always keeps me going and always make me smile....
*Trying to think of another song*
*realizing this has been up for ten minutes... still no song...*
*digging out my own iPod*
*realize she can't dig it out when she doesn't know where it is*
*found it!*

Madness - Baggy trousers. It has a nice beat to it :)
Dope - Sing. Great for the calmer pace. And a great mood booster!
Pink - So what. If you haven't heard it too much on the radio, it's pretty awesome.
Guano Apes - Suzie. A bit different, but I like it :)
Tom McRae - Walking to Hawaii. Also one of the calmer ones.
... And now my iPod died. Ah well. Hope you like any of them, I have the most random music taste, so it's tricky when I don't know what your type of music is :)
